Harris Campaign Confident in Key States

Kamala Harris' campaign is optimistic about winning the northern battleground states, according to her campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon. In an email to staff, Dillon noted that strong turnout in cities like Philadelphia and Detroit could bolster Harris' path to victory. While Harris trails Trump in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, the campaign sees these states as crucial to securing an electoral win. Pennsylvania’s vote count is ongoing, with results from Wisconsin expected after 3 a.m. Wednesday. The campaign has prepared for a tight race in these regions.

Trump Secures North Carolina
In a significant win, Trump was declared the victor in North Carolina by the Associated Press (AP) at around 11:20 p.m., securing 16 electoral votes. This gives Trump 230 electoral votes, while Harris stands at 187. This is the first time North Carolina has gone red since 2008.

Tight Race in Swing States
Trump is leading in most swing states as of the latest counts. With around 67% of votes counted in Pennsylvania, Trump has a narrow lead, as he does in Georgia, Arizona, and North Carolina. Harris, however, leads in Michigan and Arizona with partial vote counts, although Arizona polling was extended due to earlier machine malfunctions. Polling hours in parts of Nevada were also extended following similar technical issues.

Electoral College Count and State Wins
The Associated Press reports that Trump currently leads with 188 electoral votes to Harris' 99 after AP called Missouri for Trump. This map will continue to evolve as key battleground states release their counts, with high anticipation for updates from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, where both candidates are vying for a decisive win.

Voting Disruptions and Security Threats
Voting in several swing states was briefly disrupted by non-credible bomb threats in Pennsylvania and Arizona, allegedly linked to foreign interference. These incidents resulted in extended polling hours in some areas to ensure all voters could cast their ballots.

For continuous updates, the AP and major news networks like BBC and Politico are providing live tallies as results roll in from key states.
